我的MT 現在連不上去了!
怎麼辦

我的MT帐号是一起申请两个以上,用两个以上的不同的地址。当一个不行时,换过另一个,又可以连接了,当这个不行了,又换回那一个。这样就不会错过行情。

FOREX-Dollar still lower after US data; Madrid weighs
Thursday March 11, 9:28 am ET
By John Parry

(Updates prices, adds comment, changes byline, changes dateline, previous LONDON)
NEW YORK, March 11 (Reuters) - The dollar remained lower on the day on Thursday after U.S. data came broadly in line with expectations, though the U.S. currency was weighed by anxiety about global terrorism following deadly bomb attacks in Madrid, Spain.

Analysts cited underlying anxiety about the possible threat of attacks on U.S. interests as a potential drag on the dollar.

"I don't know if the dollar's descent is because any terrorist attack is viewed as a threat to the United States in some form. This whole question of who was responsible for the Madrid bombing will remain central to dollar activity today," said Lara Rhame, senior economist with Brown Brothers Harriman in New York.

Earlier, the euro rebounded against the dollar and the safe-haven Swiss franc rallied broadly, after news of explosions on packed rush-hour trains in Madrid on Thursday. The dollar fell more than 1 percent against the Swiss franc. The euro rallied more than a cent against the dollar from the day's lows after the Madrid explosions.

Spain's interior minister said earlier the blasts killed 173 people and wounded some 600.

Spanish officials initially blamed Basque separatist group ETA, but a radical Basque nationalist leader later said he did not think ETA was responsible.))

Apart from the possibility that ETA may be behind the attacks in Spain, financial markets have also been fretting about a possible al-Qaeda connection to the attacks, though those fears, so far, have not been substantiated.

"The dollar will rise and fall with rumors of whether Al Qaeda was involved, and if they were that would be dollar negative," said Rhame. However

February U.S. headline retail sales were up 0.6 percent, meeting economists' forecasts, while weekly initial jobless claims were 341,000, compared with forecasts for 345,000.

However, analysts suggested that some underlying economic weakness might still dent the dollar.

"Broadly, the layoffs are likely behind us but the economy remains severely under-employed," Jes Black, currency strategist with MG Financial in New York. Black said.

Early morning in New York, the euro (EUR=) was up about 0.1 percent on the day at $1.2251, according to Reuters data.

Against the yen (JPY=) the dollar was at 110.53 yen, down about 0.2 percent on the day.

Against the Swiss franc (CHF=), which is a classic safe haven currency in times of global violence, the dollar was down about 0.5 percent on the day to 1.2794 francs.

Sterling (GBP=) was down 0.18 percent at $1.8010.

"There's been buying of Swiss across the board on the back of the terrorism activity," said a London-based trader.

In its March monthly report, the European Central Bank confirmed its picture of a gradual euro zone economic recovery with limited inflation risks, signalling unchanged interest rates for some time to come.

ECB Governing Council member Ernst Welteke said there were more downside than upside risks to euro zone growth but gave no indication the ECB believed its monetary policy was not appropriate at the moment, saying there was ample liquidity supply in the currency bloc.

Bank of France chief Christian Noyer said exports were more dependant on the state of the world economy than on foreign exchange.

U.S. Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan is slated to speak before a House hearing on education around 1500 GMT.

JAPAN TACTICS SWITCH?

The dollar's drop below 111 yen in the previous session indicated Japan might be changing tactics in its latest phase of aggressive yen-selling intervention, pulling out of the market only to come back in at lower levels.

Traders say the Bank of Japan has recently withdrawn dollar/yen bids only to come back in at lower dollar levels.

Traders suspected the BOJ's hand in the dollar's recovery in Tokyo trade on Thursday from just below 110.50 yen.
