路透社19日报道，一名美国联邦调查局(FBI)探员表示，FBI在长期调查后于星期二在纽约逮捕了48人，这些人都涉及一宗证券和外汇欺诈案。据悉，在被逮捕的人中，有7名是来自外汇行Madison Deane & Associates的高级职员，包括3名合伙人、3名副总裁和一名投资员。

一位不愿透露姓名的FBI探员在逮捕现场说：“这是一起外汇和证券欺诈。”
一名在外汇行工作的职员表示，FBI告诉他们Madison Deane从客户的个人退休户头中窃取了约400万美元的款项。
另一名目击者称联邦官员从Madison Deane位于世界金融中心的36楼办公室中运走了约10箱文件。
另一不同消息来源对路透表示，同业经纪商ICAP涉及此案的三名经纪人也被逮捕。
据悉，美国有关当局将在明日召开记者会阐明事情的来龙去脉，并公布调查结果和对被捕者的起诉罪状等涉案详情。
